Alberta Parks Ambassadors are united by a common passion for all things Alberta Parks and a desire to share their experiences. This spring, 130 people applied to take part in the Ambassador Program and from those applicants 13 were chosen to bring their adventures to life for everyone to enjoy and to inspire people to have their own Alberta Parks experience.
Through this 13 part blog series, we will introduce your Alberta Parks Ambassadors and share what they’ve been up to this summer.
Kimberly is a life-long Albertan who is happily married and mother to a 3-year-old son and two Pomeranian chihuahuas. Childhood summers were spent fishing, exploring lakes and enjoying campsites in Northern Alberta with family – these experiences are something that Kimberly wants to pass on to her son.
Kimberly’s philosophy is that, “living life is to explore the world around us and that is when we truly can understand our purpose”. During the summer, you can usually find Kimberly camping at an Alberta Parks site with a newly purchased 1987 trailer – the very one she travelled in as a child! Kimberly loves to hike, tell long stories around the campfire and soak up the Alberta sunshine.
