Alberta Parks Ambassadors are united by a common passion for all things Alberta Parks and a desire to share their experiences. This spring, 130 people applied to take part in the Ambassador Program and from those applicants 13 were chosen to bring their adventures to life for everyone to enjoy and to inspire people to have their own Alberta Parks experience.
Through this 13 part blog series, we will introduce your Alberta Parks Ambassadors and share what they’ve been up to this summer.
Wendy’s husband and their three dogs – Coulee, Lacey and Summit – love nothing more than to spend summer weekends hiking and camping. With their 70’s era trailer that they have affectionately named “Nugget” literally in tow, they have had several Alberta Parks adventures.
While it’s often a challenge to see wildlife with three dogs, when they do spot animals it is a rare treat and Wendy considers that a highlight of any trip. Besides her family and Nugget, one thing Wendy takes on every adventure is her camera. See some of the highlights of Wendy’s adventures on one of her social media channels!
Where Wendy has been this summer:
- Police Outpost Provincial Park
- Park Lake Provincial Park
- Jensen Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area
- Beauvais Lake Provincial Park
