If you’ve been thinking of upgrading to energy efficient products around your home, now is the time to do it. A new government program will provide instant rebates on items like programmable thermostats, water saving devices, and smart power bars – and gives Albertans another way to save money and make their homes more comfortable.
This six-week campaign starts April 28 and runs through June 11. Point-of-sale rebates of up to $30 will be available at hundreds of home improvement stores across Alberta. Details on eligible products and related information are available on the Energy Efficiency Alberta website.
The rebates are one part of a suite of Energy Efficiency Alberta programs that will help Albertans improve their home’s energy efficiency and reduce both their energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions. Other opportunities include:
- Residential and Commercial Solar Program, which provides rebates to help Albertans tap solar resources
- Residential No-Charge Energy Savings Program, which offers direct, no-charge installation of energy efficient products in homes across the province
- Residential Retail Products Program-Home Improvement Rebate, which provides rebates to improve insulation, upgrade windows and install tankless water heaters
