More and more Albertans are choosing energy-efficient products and appliances for their homes. A new online rebate is another way to make those choices more affordable.
With just a couple of clicks, Albertans can now receive rebates for smart thermostats and high-efficiency refrigerators and clothes washers. These appliances can be purchased online or in-store from any retailer.
To receive your rebate, all you need to do is upload a copy of your receipt via the online form on the Energy Efficiency website, where you will also find a list of eligible products. Once the application is approved you can expect your rebate cheque to arrive in the mail in six to eight weeks.
The online rebate is just one part of the Residential Retail Products Programs currently offered. Other programs include:
- Home Improvement Rebate Program – rebates of up to $3,500 on improved insulation, upgraded windows and tankless hot water heaters.
- Instant Rebate Program – point-of-sale rebates on programmable thermostats, water-saving devices, smart power bars and more.
The savings don’t stop with rebates, though. Albertans who use high-efficiency products in their homes will cut energy use and save money on utility bills for years to come.
